VISSERIJ - de Groote Vissery of Haring Vanghst [heading over the first of 10 small plates, no place, no publisher, no date (mid 18th century?)]. Sm oblong 12mo (10 x 16 cm, each plate about 8 x 11 cm). 10 anonymous, simply coloured plates numbered 1-8, last plates not numbered. Stitched in decorated wrappers; last plate pasted on inside lower cover. Leuk en charmant prentboekje about the Haringvangst. Number 9 'Het Haring Banket' and number 10 'Diep Watersz: Strand: Staaten en andere Bockem' ontbreken. Ondanks de ontbrekende gravures, een zeldzaam en curieus boekje. De gravures zijn in oblong 12mo. De platen 9-12 zijn ongenummerd, de overige hebben het cijfer rechts onder de plaat, daardoor valt het niet op dat er prentjes ontbreken. Ottens, small woodcut text-illustration, 17 plates (7 folded, including all 6 maps) and some woodcut tail-pieces. Classic on Dutch whaling in the arctic regions.
